Guest FunKPunK Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Early 70s funk soul at it,s groovy best. Since it's first play at our Rialto SOul Club it raised WTF is that questions from everyone. Shit rare with only 2 copies on the Bay in 3 years! Both I bid for and got this one on Streaker. Euphoric soul. Any information regarding Force appreciated. I did hear it was a mispress on the label and should be Lifeforce. What ya think? Listen below - check out that break in the middle. Holy Moses
Guest FunKPunK Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 A hundred views and no one wanna gimme thoughts on this? Oh well.

Guest Brett F Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I like the flutes but the vocal leaves me cold, like someone pulled out a 5 " cold steel whip-blade and separated my shoulders...........

Guest Preems Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 sounds a bit like a white psychedelic record it's okay, sort of white sounding though
Chalky Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 If it was a tenner I doubt anyone would bother with it, very average.
pikeys dog Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 very average. I think you are being a bit generous there Chalky. Utter tosh.
Dave Pinch Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 its an ok record................not sure if you could play it anywhere apart from at home. ok for a tenner as well. not to shell out any kind of brass for dave
Godzilla Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 It's like the stuff that gets called "Free Soul" in Japan. I think it's a really nice tune and I'm going to play it a picnic gig that I do. It'll fit right in with a set that includes Terry Callier, Steely Dan, Rotary Connection, Odyssey ( Battened ships ), Zero 7, Seu Jorge, Richie Havens and so on.
Guest FunKPunK Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Love the anger this generates lol I better tell everyone at the club they're wrong, bet they'll be pissed.
Chalky Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 What anger? You asked what people thought, you got some answers.
pikeys dog Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 No anger here - that would mean some form of emotion - and to be honest it's definately lacking in that. Dreary would be a fitting description.
boba Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 i bought a copy of the record from someone here and played it on my radio show, honestly it was the weakest track in the set
Guest FunKPunK Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Oh well different strokes - thanks for yer honesty though. Out of curiosity what do you guys rate that's relatively newly descovered/unearthed or reborn?
