The Tempest Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) The last copy on evil bay went for £29.00 a few weeks ago , I would of said £ 50.00 max in the current climate If you're just after " Stop and get a hold of myself " buy the Tastiest Hits Lp from 68 on Bell , cheap as chips Edited January 29, 2011 by 123-motown

Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 tracks on both LPs are identical. Not true - there are more tracks on the UK (and possibly the US, but don't quote me on that) version of 'Tastiest Hits' than there were on the Maxx LP, including a couple that were previously unreleased at the time. Where is anyone getting the idea that 'Tastiest Hits' is 'cheap as chips', BTW?

The Yank Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 The "Tastiest Hits" album took selections from the Maxx album and from one on Sphere Sound. Track listing is as follows : Side One- "Letter Full Of Tears", "Either Way I Lose", "If I Should Ever Fall In Love", "Daybreak", "Maybe, Maybe Baby", "Every Beat Of My Heart". Side Two- "Giving Up", "Stop And Get A Hold Of Myself", "Lovers Always Forgive", "Tell Her You're Mine" and "Operator".
Ernie Andrews Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Saw one on UK Bell for 30 pounds and decided not to bother even though IMO rarer than the Maxx copy.

I have the US Bell one and I recall that I was offered a Maxx copy but couldn't be bothered to buy it as the track listing was identical. Anyway, that's how I remember it. If I'm wrong, so what.
Chalky Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 There was a copy of the Tastiest Hits for sale on here couple of weeks ago...
Windlesoul Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) I had the Bell one twice, sold both for around £30, think the kak cover and title puts folks off but quality Lp indeed. Maxx cover much tastier!! Edited January 29, 2011 by mark w.
