Dennyj
I've always been intrigued that this was written by Bettye Swann - waiting for as vocal to turn up !! 8-) Denny Link to comment Social source share
Pete S
Thanks Pete, glad to hear that. That "re" was confusing - what's that for btw? have to be honest, I don't know, what I do know is that you can always date records from delta numbers and that one beginning with 66 is definitely a 60's release (not necessarily from 1966), it's the ones that begin 90 and 100 that you have to be careful with. As for the writing credit to Bettye Swann - might be something to do with publishing / royalties. Link to comment Social source share
Ady Croasdell
As for the writing credit to Bettye Swann - might be something to do with publishing / royalties. Yes it was a favour or attempt to confuse the authorities. So a certain Arthur Wright indicated to me. Ady Link to comment Social source share
Amsterdam Russ
I've always been intrigued that this was written by Bettye Swann - waiting for as vocal to turn up !! Not quite sure how anyone could claim to have penned what in fact is an instrumental of an old spiritual called 'Elijah Rock'! Mahalia Jackson does a mean version of it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZIhCYyK-ZI Edited January 28, 2011 by rigilbert Link to comment Social source share
