Sunnysoul Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Amazingly, there are two US TV clips from 1965 of Billy performing Edwin Starr's classic, one on Shindig and the other in brilliant colour on a Ray Charles TV special. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM9FOhe-QJE&feature=related Question is , I had a VJ record label specialist collector from the US tell me recently that there exist VJ issued acetates of this as VJ were intending to release Billy's version on the West Coast but decided against it ... Anyone have, or know of, such acetates ???
Pomonkey Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Killer clips, thank you for posting those, never knew Billy could move like that. Similar question re the version of Jackie Wilson doing Lonely Teardrops with Billy on keys, is there a studio version?
