Ged Parker Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) Hi Guys I was just wondering if anyone could give me a current valuation of "The Silhouettes" - "Get A Job" LP, with "Not Me Baby" included, in Mint condition Thanks in advance. Nik. The LP that 'Not me Baby' came with was called "The Original and New Silhouettes '58/'68" I bought just the 45 about three years ago for $400ish nice and minty in a Goodway sleeve aswell but I think it books at about £700 now. If your sure it is the right LP and that it has the 45 with it and If you can get it for less than that snatch their hand off. Edited September 20, 2005 by ged parker
Guest Soultown andy Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Ged a sillhuettes [i know i cant spell] sold for over 1100 a few weeks back.
Guest Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Opps, I didn't write that clear enough, Its just the price of the LP I want, with "Not Me Baby" on the LP, or in other words as Manship puts it: SILHOUETTES Get a job, I am lonely, Rent man, Your love (is all i need), Bing bong lover, Get a job (1968), Not me baby, Gaucho serenade, Climb every mountain, We belong together. Get a job 68Rarely seen lp, vinyl has one light careless fingernail mark from turntable removal but plays at least excellent plus. cover has a water stain at the bottom but is totally free of tears or writing. the 45 "not me baby" is selling @ £800+ Includes: not me baby

Ged Parker Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Ged a sillhuettes [i know i cant spell] sold for over 1100 a few weeks back. £1100 to think it was given away as a freebee. I know when I ordered (and paid) for mine it took nearly seven weeks to arrive. I don't mind saying was sweating a little. I dont think the 'Get a job' Album should be that dear it's a compilation, kind of a greatest hits album. But then i thought the 45 was only £700 so what do I know

Guest Soultown andy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Would agree worth about 700 quid mark, but shows what some will pay for a record if they want it badly inuf.
