Guest SteveA Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Something to ponder on when you're bored... What names are shared between soul singers & footballers? Easy one to kick off... Bobby Moore (Checker & West Ham). Must be plenty more but no cheating e.g. Owen Hargreaves is not nicknamed 'Silky'.

Curtis Davis (who has just signed for Luton from West Brom ) & of Ronnie records fame Alex Williams ( ex Man City goalie , retired with bad back ) & funky geezer who did a rather decent version of the thrill is gone on jewel records Sammy Lee - (short arse ex Liverpool now asst at Bolton) & he also signed for Promco records Mikael Silvestre - ( bumbling Man United defender drops his first name and rearranges his second to become a sophisticated 80's soul star by the name of SYLVESTER Michael Jackson - (some perv who used to play for Preston shares his name with a 6ft 3 centre half who had a brother called Jermaine) SHIT I'm getting confused I remember on the radio once Michael Jackson taking a free kick and the the commentator saying "off the wall " straight after - I thought it was funny!!!!
