I know i'm setting myself up to be shot down in flames but living in a NS backwater ,theres not boxes and boxes of 45s to look through at soul nights in Scotland. Only have internet to look for 45's So what records do you have that you've never seen another one of couple to start off with.

Gail Wynters You don't have to be in love Hickory issue on yellow vinyl ( are all issues yellow vinyl)

Tammps Stop and Think pir german w/d which has a red thunder flash going across the label.

Got a few of these in their original sleeves... Intruders "A nice girl like you" is probably the best one, but also have O'Jays "I love music", "992 Arguments" etc...

I could be very 'Christain H' and say by record you've never seen, do you mean a record that you have and know there are more than one, but have onlye ever seen your copy?? I could name loads! But I'm pretty sure you mean records you have that you don't know of any more copies.........yes? Anyhow just one from me at the moment:

Spoke to a few folks about it and no-one, including large dealers (yes Mr Manship too) have ever heard of it. Superb record in my opinion, nice and mellow. "L hewitt" gets a mantion, whether this is Lonnie I don't know. I'm sure some know-all will give me a mouthful about if first being played years back and that it's worthless, shite, ten-a-penny etc. so I won't get my hopes up in it being a mega-rarity or sommet..

PS sorry for bad scan scanners playing up :glare::thumbsup:

Paul Capon used to have the Newsound record on a sales tape. It's good. A record I used to play out and was always asked about is Robert Gober's version of "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" on Calvary records from Chicago. As far as i know it is an unknown.

boring old often repeated one for me is have the only issue of voices inc - thinkin on columbia 45

(unless any turned up in last year or so) - up for grabs if wanna make us a healthy cash offer and supply us with demo as part of deal, can guess why it got booked at 500 but unless others turned up looking for more

mucker andy d once lent me a 60s emi disc picked up at a london record fair

version of The Drifter by Stuart Smith-

after a long time searching, and a couple of jokers giving us duff info f***king hunt up. - finaly proved that it was not the same as any other known version and so maybe unique - tell you what those jokers with duff info really pissed me off - of course such a discovery caused the usual stir of interest when its just a ordinary joes who does it,

shame like cause it was a good version, different enough to play, and did sound good when I played it out

Know that the Late Long John Baldry did say in a interview ( think was done Benji) that he first heard the track before recording his version from a acetate by a unknown artist, so possibly the same one

so maybe some sort of audtion cut, dunno what was standard practice in uk then on copies cut,so amybe good chance of one of, anyone up to speed?

Irish greg and his Judy Freeman test lp - feat orig powerfull mix of hold on - still only one known copy?. if so ? must be one of rarest lp around yeah? He got it off Benji 6 years ago? who picked it up on ebay - sure story may be somewhere on site, gave me a dub along with robbo, for assistance in helping him sort deal ,have had and still get constant requests for it over last 5 years -but doubt wil never tire of that building ending at right place and time

is that it 3 ? mmmm

know of some funny ones seen but may be more than 1

contempo acetates of 70s re-recordings of us 60s tracks, that never got released

some other odds but gone now

interesting thread !

Forgot one that i have.

Nina Simone Touching and caring on spanish 45. Diff pic sleeve to german 45 slightly longer mix as well but not as long as the 12" or lp version.

The Newsounds is a nice little 45. I have seen it on Scorpion and Mod Art, did it also come out on a label called Newsound?

So what records do you have that you've never seen another one of couple to start off with.

Johhny Barnes - 'Begining Today' AMC

Can't find anyone that knows it even.

Edward Hamilton 'Cool Calm and Collected' Audio Disc Acetate never got a release as far as I know so may be a genuine one off :D

Love em both the Johnny Barnes is a bit early for some but the vocals are superb.

On the Sammy Gaha subject. I found a mint one in company sleeve for 50C at Hamilton record show, got it home, played it, thought that is shite and was about to sell it on in a pack to a UK guy who buys cheapies off me.

For some reason I was browsing Manship and saw it in the 'rarest' and got 350 quid for it!!!!!

I still think its shite!!!

 wow just listened to the download, have to agree that tune is mince who loves this enough to pay 350 for it or was that from a dealer and its even worth more. Jesus thas the worst soul record i have ever heard!!! me and my birds now in stitches its that bad.
