Guest Dan Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Tried to post this into the bedroom soul thread, where Mark B asked if anyone had ever seen a Bobby Reed 'You Are' issue, but can't for some reason. Mark - see below (with demo, which I've just sold!) Is this particularly hard though? I dunno!! cheers

Mark - see below (with demo, which I've just sold!) Is this particularly hard though? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
Guest Dan Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 overlooked quality tune those words sum it up to a tee, mark also thanks to your post on the other thread i actually flipped one of them over for the first time to listen to the other side (lost count of how many times i've failed to do this - the word 'knob' comes to mind) and that is a brilliant, jazzy, slightly down-tempo sound too sold the demo for 50 notes to first guy who asked, and had four or five ask afterwards, so that's a good benchmark cost-wise

Thanks again for the scans of Bobby Reed. Mark Bicknell.
Dave Moore Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Bobby Reed. Took me a loooong time to find this. Anyone seen any others? Regards. Dave https://www.hitsvillesoulclub.com/
Guest Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 (edited) The Clay Town release is rarer than the Brunswick ones I reckon but I have seen it for sale many times over the years. Don't wanna be a spoilsport but I don't think issue nor demo on Brunswick is really rare. Nice record though. Edited September 17, 2005 by Guest

Cheers Christian, thinking about it i'm pretty sure i had it on Claytown years back and got rid when i found the Brunswick Demo, oh well my fault, nice Demo though Mr Moore and i'm doing your reviews for Hitsville..........like you say Christian nice record though it matters very little how rare it is or how much it's worth as i guess more people can buy a copy if it's cheap and just enjoy the record as a quality tune. Guest Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Best thing would be if all records were cheap and common, I bet that would change playlists a bit, and for the better too. We can always dream on I guess.
Dave Moore Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Hi Guys, I would have to disagree slightly. The Claytown issue I have seen lots of. The W/Demo I would say is much rarer and harder to find. Not because I have one, but because of the amount I've seen and how long it took me to get one. I do agree that the Brunswick issue or demo are not particularly hard. I would rate both at around the 25 UKP mark. Good record though eh? Wish all quality was 25 squidleys! Regards, Dave https://www.hitsvillesoulclub.com/
