Guest Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 (edited) Taking offers on these: Don't really have to explain this one to you lot. Gorgeous soul dancer from sweet Jamaican vocalist (those with his "Wonderful World", "Rocksteady People", "Is It Because I'm Black", the funky "Reggae Feet" or "AIn't No Way" on Ultra know what I'm talking about). Incredibly hard to find 45 of this tune. More of a rocksteady tune with them shouting "This is Soul" throughout, thought you guys might dig this. Got one in a trade on the weekend. Mint-/mint-. Boom tune from transplanted West Indian. Don't Wait Too Long - Beres Hammond Nice modern shot here courtesy of the ever soulful Beres Hammond. Now if you guys could only convince me to get rid of the 45 blank everybody's been at me for. Don't be turned off by the live recording (Europe '69), this tune ("Save Me") is a playout monster. Mix of sweet soul and modern from Miami anyone? Theme here is later 60's soul, and it sounds great. About 4 different groups represented here - wish I knew their names Edited September 17, 2005 by soufriere1
Guest Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Ultra uptempo Greg Carmichael business. More disco than modern - on the same label as Norris Vines. K in Canada soufriere1@yahoo.com
pikeys dog Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Bottom LP features tracks by Otis Redding prior to his Volt label releases. Also tracks by Little Joe Curtis. Would presume its a cash-in record released shortly after his death

Guest Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 (edited) Also have this goRgeous Ohio spin: K in Canada. P.S. LP likely never saw the light of day. Think this is the same group as the Imperial Wonders. Edited September 20, 2005 by soufriere1
pikeys dog Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 If someone was trying to cash-in, would they not mention names??? K. That they might , but theres definately early Otis Redding tracks on that album... I'd bet a penny to a pinch of shit that the LP is a late 60s re-issue of his early 60s tracks I've also seen the picture of the girl from the LP somewhere else, possibly another issue of the album where he is credited.
