Check out eBay item 4768460676 it looks like the rarer paper label as opposed to the screen-print issue. Can't be many of these around can there?

Out of curiosity, would this be considered acceptable or cheesy if played at a UK allnighter these days? Apart from the oldies-only gigs I mean, like Blackburn etc.

Cheesy? One of the most soulful records ever surely.

Will always get a full dancefloor i should hope even these days. Although you're right, only seems to get played at oldies dos.

Fantastic, awesome, quality, brilliant, outstanding, timeless NORTHERN SOUL, i've sold many records over the years, traded, wheeling and dealing but you never tend to let the real classics go i've still got my Pink Demo of this, this is up there with George Blackwell, Billy Prophet, Jimmie Raye, Sam Williams, Dena Barnes etc. etc. all quality records which have that something just a little bit special. Like the Tony Middleton - Paris Blues stock/issue this one has to be very rare indeed,

Agree with all the comments above regarding the quality of Too Darn Soulful (except the cheesy one ) but I actually prefer his recordings with the Attractions (Why Shouldn't A Man Cry) and the Soundmasters

Bought my issue of Clarkie years ago think it was from Tony Ellis's collection

If it was off Tony,it was mine swapped it in ´75 for Denis D´ell, which was swapped to Manny for Little Eddie taylor.

It came from Jon(Kojak)Harvey,for a Night owl issue (At Yate)

He got it in Blue Max´s collection.

How about that for following a records travels over thirty years

of course that is if it is the one off Tony

Makes the whole Northern collecting scene interesting don´t you think?

Awesome record, one you don't hear played out very often these days - You Don't Love Me Anymore on the B-side is good too

By the way, mine has the labels reversed too
