100 Ways To Never Get a Booking Again

On a similar note to Chris' (NCsoul) 100 ways to get out of a booking, I thought I'd share this amusing anecdote with you.

A friend of mine, Tom Love was running a soul night in Belfast many years ago and this one particular guy kept pestering him for a spot. Now Tom has a fantastic collection and had, back then, some of the big tunes that are being played now so was doing pretty well on his own but as time went on and the guy became more persistent, eventually Tom relented and told him he could do a spot the following week.

The big night came and the guy walks in sans records. When Tom asked him where his records were the guy replied "Oh I don't have any, I'll use yours"!.

Needless to say he didn't get that or any other spot.

Anybody got any more like that?
