Mark Bicknell Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 ANYONE KNOW THE VALUE OF THIS 45 - RUFUS WOOD - BEFORE 2001 / GHETTOVILLE - ESPANOLA. Thanks in advance. Phil. link I think you are possibly looking at a very hard original here to locate, it was pressed way back and even they are pretty hard to find, i picked up my copy only about three years ago from a dealer in Sweden for $250.00 which i understand to be bargain basement stuff, you got to be looking at mid hundreds i would think £3/400.00 at least, far harder to find than some of the four figure sum records out there. Originals are deep green with blue script and the boots have black script. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
Guest Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I would guess in the region of £500 - £700 but hard to be sure. When Manship had it some time back he got £600 and something for it. Seems rare. Has been played by Butch and others in more recent years but not sure it has really caught on yet with today's crowds (maybe it never will). When and where in the 70's was it played? Must have been at least a bit popular at some point since it got booted back then.

Chalky Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 (edited) Sure seen this on a Wigan playlist for Richard Searling. Anyone confirm. Certainly got plenty of exposure in the 80's. Hard one to find as others said. Not seen many for sale at all over recent years. Edited September 3, 2005 by chalky

Been offered one but can't really afford that much. Anyone else interested in it? let me know and I'll put you in touch with the seller, minty anole. Best Regards, Phil.

I wish I had the speculative foresight but never really been in the habit of buying records I didn't like
