hey up trev - is this the right title or a tape swoppers/cover up thing? I ask because there's a Detroit 45 on Karen/Carla that has that song title. Just can't recall the chaps name off hand (Ray ?), I do recall Tim Ashibende buying it off me for £30 at the 100 Club mid/late 90s I think maybe...

Thats the one! Had it on an old tape as Grant Higgins, for some reason, possibly a c/u name.

Dont know about the UUUUUUURRGGHH Dave, I think it is quite nice!

Manship guide- Karen 322 £200.

The name of Rod Jordan is a psuedonym for Grant Higgins. Ollie McLoughlin thought Grant's name was a disadvantage so he made him change it for this, the second release by Grant on the label.

Not particularly soulful, but a reasonably hard number to locate nowadays if you're trying to complete the label. Grant Higgins went on to play with a number Rock N Roll and Beach groups. his nephew Weldon is writing a book in tribute to Grant which will include his Detroit "era".

All useless info but then that's what makes us what we are eh?

Regards,

Dave

reminded Tim Ash of this incident last night at Keele. Just shows what sort of brain/memory I have when I can recall details like this but forget my mums birthday. And yeah the record aint that good, sold it because I realised I was only foolishly keeping it because thats what a collector should do. Mmmm?
