Now while I am against booking DJs because they are girls, young, OAP, black, white, jappy, transvestite or whatever and DJs should be booked because they are good and not because they are from a minority group. I do think that this night will be a damn good laugh and I'm looking forward to it and if you're interested in the sounds of the yoof, that'll be the place to check it out. I think sometimes there is too much thinking about soul and not enough having a laugh adn enjoying it, believe me, I'm the worst for thinking too much about music. I empathis with Stevie, about it being a bit patronising if you think about it too much. But I think Chris is just looking to put on a good night at christmas which should be a bit of a laugh with some good music played, so I don't think it's worth stressing about. Although I don't think the way it's going to be presented is ageist though. Pinch of salt and sense of humour and all that. Having a think about the theme, I could have a guess as to who the "Old Timers" room will be made up of, "The Young Guns" are all pretty much present and correct. "Cow Girls" room should be easy enough (if there was one). But I wonder who would be the DJs in a "Varmants and Rustlers" room?!?!?!
