Djr Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I'm selling my collection over the next few weeks, as I'm getting married soon and have been told the records must go.
Steve G Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I'm getting married soon and have been told the records must go into the spare bedroom / loft / garage (delete as appropriate). . link Do not sell your collection - your squeeze should be able to tolerate a few records piled up in a corner somewhere without too much trouble.
Guest Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Do not sell your collection - your squeeze should be able to tolerate a few records piled up in a corner somewhere without too much trouble. link Apparently we have to make our wedding and honeymoon, one to remember! I don't think she realises I want to remember my teenage life, and travelling all over the country to clubs like Wigan, Rotherham, Manchester Ritz, Cleethorps, and that!
Mal C Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Hi Nik, I have only one thing to say to you. DONT SELL YOUR RECORDS!!! Unless of course you really do need the cash.. Mal.C.

Guest mattmale Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I'm selling my collection over the next few weeks, as I'm getting married soon and have been told the records must go. link You've 'been told' the records must go? Who are you marrying, your mother?
Guest Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 You've 'been told' the records must go? Who are you marrying, your mother? link I'd laugh at that if my mother didn't die when I was a child. Bast*rd. Look, I'm selling my records right, if you don't like it don't buy em!
Larsc Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 You should at least keep a small box of your top 50 faves. It'll keep you from regretting the sales and that will in turn make sure your marriage will be a happy one.

Sweeney Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Apparently we have to make our wedding and honeymoon, one to remember! I don't think she realises I want to remember my teenage life, and travelling all over the country to clubs like Wigan, Rotherham, Manchester Ritz, Cleethorps, and that! link It'll certainly be one to remember, but sadly, I fear for the wrong reasons. I'm lucky enough to be married to someone who sees my love of rare soul as an integral part of who I am, and not as a box of records that is there to pay for transient 'luxuries'. Having the money will be no substitute for not having the records and the memories. Still, your choice. Good Luck.
