Guest rachel Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Usually about £30-40 for demo (think I saw one on a list on here for $80)... though £75 on Manship Issue maybe rarer? Certainly usually see it on the demo.
Dave Abbott Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Funny, I've usually seen it on the issue, but then i dont actually look out for it. Does any one elses copy have a pressing fault?? where near the beginning she sounds like shes 'drawling' one of the words (cant remember which one). I know mines not the only copy to do this becuase i've heard someone play it and it does exactly the same thing in the same place

Guest Arcticsoulboy Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Yeah, I recognise that "drawling" you´re referring to Dave. My copy that I sold a few years back had a spot in the beginning where it sounds like she kinda forgets the lyrics or something and ad-libs for a bit. Sounds really funny...
Jerry Hipkiss Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Thank you for information regarding this record, just got issue for £40. link I'd say you did OK there meself, although I rate the demos as slightly harder to find... Hippo.

Pete S Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Anyone remember back in 78-79, this record was as common as Kim Weston on MGM! Always a £3 special. Always issues. I'd say £35 issue £50 tops demo. I found an MGM lp by here but when I got it it was a real lounge supper club act.

Sounds really funny... link "but the little things he dooose"! is the line! sounds more like when they were cutting the plates the master tape stuck momentarily, the same sort of effect as placing your finger on the turntable, slowing it down for an instant. Definatly a recording fault rather than the vocalists.
