Has anyone ever actually used that word "biggie" in a conversation and not just the written word? Cos I've never heard anyone use it...except Pep once, in the 70's

Do you think it's naff then?

:lol: Ah. Oh but it's a friendly jocular term one uses with one's mates "that biggie Butch plays" ... etc.

How can biggie be naff? Tell me your sensible equivalent then.

I see you searching :lol:

7 pages of stuff with the term 'biggie' in them on here.

Chalky used it tonight :thumbsup: Now I know that's the written word and not spoken, but I'm thinking he (like me) speaks it too. And the man's no slouch when it comes to matters pertaining rare soul ...

I often tell my missus "You don't want to follow me in there, I've done a biggie that refuses to flush"

:lol::lol::lol::thumbsup:

Did consider the toilet humour line meself but opted for the porn side of things in the end...

Isn't it a term of endearment used to to describe the creator of Northern Soul - "The Biggie From Wiggie"??? :thumbsup:

For the sake of NS terminology 'biggie' is from the same gene pool as 'oldie' or 'newie'. Therefore it should be construed as a widely used and acceptable term (both spoken and written) within NS circles. :thumbsup:

Yes, a bit of a daft word. But then most of us are a bit daft.

Maybe we should all grow up & use more suitable replacement words like "celebrated" & "pre-eminent"

But why bow to convention?

So i'm guessing the opposite to 'biggie' is 'smallie'? E.g. a sound that never made it big?

Usually my wife uses it in the context:

'That's a bit smallie....' :thumbsup:
