Guest Brian Ellis Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Inticers - Since you left - Baby Luv - £2,000 Johnny james - Tell you 'bout my girl - Circle m - £750 Hyperions - Why you wann treat me that way - Chattahoochee - £600 Garland green - Girl I love you - Gamma - £300 Dave charles - Ain't gonna cry no more - Donnie - £400 Jaguars - Metropolitan - Alco - £300 Inspirations - Your wish is my command - Midas - £500 Limelights - Don't leave me baby - Uncle - £800 Little wille faulk - Look into my heart - M&h - £1,000 Darryl stewart - Name it claim it - Wand - £150 Admirations/aspirations - You left me - Peaches - £1,500 Johnny darrow - Love is anightmare - Sue - £400 Coco & ben - Good feeling - Earthworld - £1,000 Beverly & duane - You belong to me - Brown bomber - not listed Midnighters - You're gonna make me cry - Whittier - £750 All according to the John Manship Price Guide, now getting on for 12 months old - so inflation/dancefloor action/demand may well have increased these already high prices. Hope this helps Brian
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Garland green - Girl I love you - Gamma - £300 One went on e-bay last week for £310 so the guide pretty accurate for this one I guess :-)
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Admirations/aspirations - You left me - Peaches - £1,500This price is for the Admirations release. Aspiration a lot rarer and if up for sale auction could fetch as much as £2000/£2500. Try the flip, "I want to be free", much better IMO ;-) Inticers - Since you left - Baby Luv This wants flipping over too!! "I've got to find me a baby" great record. Only really heard Kenny Burrell play this out, not very often either.
Mike Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Johnny james - Tell you 'bout my girl talking bout this other nite, availbility ? last seen sale?
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Johnny james - Tell you 'bout my girl talking bout this other nite, availbility ? last seen sale? About 8 months ago and it went for about 700.
Simon T Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Johnny james - Tell you 'bout my girl talking bout this other nite, availbility ? last seen sale? I seem to remeber Manship having one a year or so ago @ £700. He may have sold it or "withdrawn" it to put up for auction in the future
MarkWhiteley Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 I was almost swindled whilst trying to but The Inspirations on Midas. I left a want on an American website for one and was contacted buy a guy in russia claming to - and I quote "Just have this record, no more.", and funnily enough, his asking price was 499USD, as was my max price to pay. Odd, eh? The same thing nearly happened with 'Gonna Find A True Love' by the Patterson Twins.

Find it better to ask if they have it and how much, can always barter then. Regarding Patterson Twins, know where there is one, contact off list if interested.
MarkWhiteley Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 You need to place a 'max price to pay' in order to submit your want. Luckily I hadn't sent the money when I realised that the record didn't exist.
MarkWhiteley Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 Janine, you seem to be able to value pretty acurately, how much is 'Run for your life' by The Harrison Bros. worth on Bobalou?
Guest Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Janine, you seem to be able to value pretty acurately, how much is 'Run for your life' by The Harrison Bros. worth on Bobalou? £300 probably these days.
MarkWhiteley Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 Ta. I hope you don't mind me picking your brain...
MarkWhiteley Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 Regarding Patterson Twins, know where there is one, contact off list if interested. Yes, I am. How much?
