davidwapples Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 hi i have this on a cd and the info booklet says it was unreleased but manships guide lists it as being released on tamla 42286 with a picture sleeve. i have seen colour and black and white picture sleeves and i thought all us tamla 45's started with a 54--- number. i also know this was done as a 45 for chris kings birthday a couple of years ago on a boot 45 has anyone got any info to whay was the origional release and a price if possible thanks david
pikeys dog Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 The record was issued during the 1990s, it was produced in very limited quantities for a motown conference (they were given away to attendees) - figures quoted are between 300 and 500, most of which were allegedly left behind and skipped by the cleaners. The picture sleeve is colour, and similar in design to those from the 1960s.......
Ian Seaman Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 ref the Marvin gaye 45, the boot has been selling for £50+ and was for C. Kings 45th birthday. Originals with pic sleeve in mint cond are easy worth £200/250 no sleeve deduct £100/150. issued 1995 as a freeby to the CD, No,s between 100 and 300 but most were binned as reps etc only wanted the CD !!! if sleeve is B/W then it,s a copy.
