Gene-r Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 (edited) The copy of "Baby Please Don't Go" by Jo Ann Henderson advertised on Ebay went for £464! Wonder what this would make the 78 worth - no smartarse comments please!! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Edited August 17, 2005 by Gene-R

Guest dundeedavie Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 as for the 78 ......not much i wouldn't think unless you have a deck to play it out on Davie
Gene-r Posted August 17, 2005 Author Posted August 17, 2005 as for the 78 ......not much i wouldn't think unless you have a deck to play it out on Davie link Good point Davie! On that note, is there any truth in the rumour that some clubs are being equipped with turntables that play at speed 78, or is it just the portable Vestax/Numark decks being plugged into the PA?
Mace Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 F*ckin' nora.............. Paid about £50 for mine 18 months ago. Heard Ginger is after a copy of this - so expect it to double again if he gets one. I sold a 78 for £40 2 years ago, but buyer was a collector, not DJ, so he was happy to have it in what I presume would be it's 'earliest original' format ... He had a player with 78 speed so was quite content. Great tune but gone for waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much.
Mace Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 ................anyway, expect a flurry of them on ebay now - probably selling for half that amount.......
