I can't find any info on the record tho. Does it go by a different name?

I think 50-60 is fair considering the quality on there. original 45 is a four figure record now tho isnt it dave A lot of tracks on there are still pricey. Great for a slow Sunday to just chuck on while cooking the dinner tho. Its a nightmare trying to take the spuds out of the oven, and on to the worktop, so you dont miss the right place to clap tho

With the DJ announcing the track at Wigan as Herbie Williams, he was playing it as a cover up, and nobody knew the actual artist at the time? Subquestion: cover ups, were literally 45 labels covered up, that I get. Did people go out of their way to make the covered up labels look real, or was it totally obvious...like white paper or something.

The recording quality seems a little off though, to be expected on a boot I suppose. Is the East Coast original 45 of Court Davis much better? (I'm guessing there's only one or 2 ppl on this forum fortunate enough to answer that.) Wondering if I need to start counting up my pennies.
Patto Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Incredible record one of the best ever.Always been an ambition of mine to dance to this one more time since the last time i did when searling was spinning it in the early 80s.Heard that Phil Dick had got a copy and went to a Dewesbury Town hall night last year hoping to realise my ambition.Frustratingly got a phone call about half an hour before Phil's last spot to go home daughter not well. Heart dropped when i checked the plylists on here to see that he played the masterpiece and i missed it.Those late casino playlists have never been surpassed with Court Davis,Deadbeats,Damon Fox,William Powell,Nurons,Herman Hitson,Marvelous Ray.Oh what i would give to hear all those in a set one more time.

Dobber Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I sold a court Davis 5 year ago and got £1500 for it then,also of intrest all the copy's have a pimple effect on the vinyl,guess they were pressed on cheap vinyl,however it doesn't affect the quality,other than a very slight back ground hiss! Still a great flipping tune!
