John Reed Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I've been re-reading the John Edwards article in Voices by Jan Barker. In the discography it mentions three tracks recorded at Stax by the group the Enticers which included John Edwards and was wondering if any of these tracks seen the light of day since the article was written?

Hi John - Assuming that this is not the Chimneyville Enticers, I suspect that these might well be unissued Weis recordings from the period when Stax distributed that Chicago label. There are very few Weis tapes in the Stax inventory so I suspect they might have been among those returned to the label's owners on expiration of the distribution deal. But I will do a further check when I go back to work tomorrow, and enlightn you further if I can... Cheers, TONY
