Northern Soul Uk Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Ok! I know I'm gonna get the die hards and the stalwarts bombarding this post with their opinions, but hey! that's what these forums are for. I love this track and I have previewed the album on iTunes and it is all in the same vein, excellent Northern soul'eque style music. What do you think, and a million times better than the 'Buffy' squealing cow crap. (Put's on his hard hat) 1
Dave Moore Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I like it. Proper song, well sung, with a catchy hook. Regards, Dave

Cunnie Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Best song on the album for me is "Old Fashoned", but must admit the whole album pretty good https://www.amazon.co...527938&sr=301-1 Good album like you say Miff apart from the awful version of I Want You. Should have gone with the version that was featured on Gilles Peterson's show (& played be me at the Bridlington weekender LOL). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZY8g96fMgg
Northern Soul Uk Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 Bombardment? Take that Johhny fakesouler! Heheh! can't say i wasn't expecting that, there's always one, and your it!! LOL
Guest GARV Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Although i really like Cee Lo i did`t like this album. I found it to cheesy & poppy for me but the fact he can release this & albums like "Cee Lo green & his perfect imperfections" proves what a versatile artist he is, i like his collaborations with Erykah Badu & Outkast.

Northern Soul Uk Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 Excellent Soulful voice, and great to see that there is another side to the usual US R&B scene. Also think that the girl that got knocked out in the final of 'X-Craptor' has an amazing Bluesey/Soulful voice too. 'Rebbeca Ferguson' Anybody?? Rebecca Ferguson - Distant Dreamer
Kev Harker Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Best song on the album for me is "Old Fashoned", but must admit the whole album pretty good https://www.amazon.co...527938&sr=301-1 This is a great song, shades of Walter Jackson in this one. good shout. kev
ImberBoy Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I think this is as good as Duffy and it's well nice to see that the divvy genre is alive and kicking, this would fit well into any soul night, have you heard Gotta Pull Myself Together by The Nolans? That's quite Northernsouesque as well. lets rock!

Happy Feet Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 I know it's an awful long time ago ,to revisit this topic , but just read a very moving and interesting topic on the BBC news website regarding Rebecca Ferguson, about the mismanagement, bullying, and of course X factor and what she's had to put up with until now , I always thought she was a great talent and for whatever reason was probably held back , now we know why ( check out todays BBCs website for details ) for me this is up there and should have had a 45 release , what a talent and I hope she can break away from the shackles .
