The creator of one of my all time favourite songs, released after his untimely death,

R.I.P Mr Cooke

Great Artist, So Many Great Tunes Hard To Pick A Favourite ! :hatsoff2:

They played "A change gonna come" this morning on radio2 :hatsoff2: What a heartstring tugger yes.gif

I'll go for his Lost and looking from the Night-beat LP, Little Red Rooster of course, in fact the whole f that LP, his Frankie and Johnny from live at the Copa is very entertaining... and the twee but fabulous Only Sixteen..

Dear Sam... A voice from my early memories and still so wonderful today...

Can we ask that WHEN REFO is up again, you can download plenty of Sams tunes from there... It should be back up soon, just do a check when looking to download...

His take on this classic just blows me down... The double bass is a funeral march and listen to the angels on backing.. Haunting and soulful, just as i like them...

Did a tribute spot for Sam Cooke on RedRoad FM Sunday 19th. Couldn't do the week b4 cos we did Otis Redding tribute!

At least we honoured them both
