Stolen Records - London

Hope i'm not putting this in the wrong place folks, but i'm depressed to say that a holdal containing my 45 black DJ box was stolen from me at Liverpool Street Station on Sat December 4th. Being the dj box, there was over 20 years worth of collecting there, precious memories, and livelihood at the moment in there.

Was hoping if anyone in the London areas suddenly sees a collection like this appear, or if any dealers are approached, they could let me know. I'll stick the list below. My numbers 07952716787.

Craig, what exactly do you mean by "stolen from me"?

Every main line BR station in London must be smothered with CCTV. If you were robbed or had left an "unattended package", it will surely have been spotted by the cameras so have you reported the loss?

Alternatively, if you have misplaced your bag then contacting the stations Lost Property office just might yield a result.

Either way, good luck with getting your records back buddy.

Moldie is right - how on earth did you manage such a precise list of what was in your playbox? Had it been me, I'd be struggling to remember what was packed so at least you've got a good start towards identifying your stuff.

There's a record fair at Spitalfields Market, just down the road, on Fridays (alternate Fridays?) which might be a good place to start looking if the theft is down to a local opportunist.

Hi Pete, its Craig from up in Scotland here who got the record stolen. No doubt come across them again, especially the cheap islands, but others were really treasured items. Let me know if any spares come in.

very sad news ....and to be honest i wouldnt even wanna spend money replacing cheapies at the moment !....not enuff spare cash and always sumfin "new" to buy !

heard a couple of stories about oppertunist thieves dumping old vinyl not far from the scene of the crime....although with you so far away and it being london with so many record/second hand shops probably willing to take them ,not really helpful to ya...hope you here some good news soon

Your best bets are: phone/write to lost property,Baker st,London,Nw1.If you go on Tfl website your find details.Long shot but all lost property is now sent to same place,be it Bus/Tube/train/cabs.Maybe the thief left the records in station,i know there used to be a gang working Liverpool st but i thought transport police had moved em on cos i haven`t seen them for years now.

Other option is there`s a record shop just off Brick Lane,maybe they tried to offload there,when i`m next in area if you pm me your mobile,i`ll text you the details unless someone knows the shop i`m talking about?

No, it doesn't. All train companies have their own lost property offices, only lost property to go to Baker Street is stuff found on tube, buses or TFL's London Overground services.
