Many records owe a lot to the fantastic backing, making them Instantly recognisable sometimes before the Lead Vocal Sings.

Not sure if they were allowed to adlib or followed a song sheet,

but with simple oohs, aahs, do's etc enhanced many records that we love. Sometimes with very little credit.
