Pete S Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 The Prophets is an out and out bootleg as well. So can you change the wording of your ad to say that the Marie Knight and Suspicion are both bootlegs/reissues, otherwise I'll have to temporarily unapprove it, sorry.

Pete S Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Please stop with all the bickering it is a genuine mistake so what about the Tony Michaels It's not bickering, it's just that we have to oversee the sales section otherwise misunderstandings can happen. Nobody minds when it's a genuine mistake. From what I can see, the Tony Michaels is fine, it was never pressed.

Soulfulshoes Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Hi. I apologise to any one i have offended in listing these 3 records, i did check with the Manship, boolegs, conterfeits & reissue 3rd editon, & in there Marie Knight is only refered to as a bootleg on Red Musicor label, no other reference to another conterfeit or copy is made. Both Marie Knight & Tony Michaels have been in my box for over 30 years. As for the Prophets i paid good money for this( £60) from a very reputable website only 6 months ago, so i was ripped off by the sound of it. At least the Tony Michaels sounds promising but i will remove them all from this site.If some one can tell me how? Regards.

The Prophets was never released officially on a 45, it's actually The Originals, as to whether you were ripped off, well it's a fantastic record but £60 for a bootleg like this is shocking, I'd sell it you for £15, maybe £20 if it was truly mint. I'd love to know what website you bought that off! The original Marie Knight's are either black issues are white demos but they retain the original Musicor design, your plain one doesn't, as for it not being in the book, if ever you're not sure you can always ask on here and you'll get an answer, there's some very knowledgable people on soul source. That boot is worth about a tenner. If you want me to edit the original post to just leave the tony michaels, I can.
Soulfulshoes Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Hi. That would be great, thank you very much. I won`t mention the site, i have the originals version & to be honest when i first played this i could not tell the difference. So i assumed it was some rare cover from 1968 or something, that is what i was lead to believe anyway.Sorry for any offence. Regards.
