I think I paid 150 quid for my mint issue about 5 years ago

yeah you can probably pick one up on e bay cheaper if your lucky etc etc

I love tune and reckon its worth 150 on issue and the demo 200

I notice John Manship has the issue up at 200 and the demo for 250

Great Record imo !

Hard on a white demo this one

Would defo agree with that Richard - I've only ever had one demo copy, but at the same time, you don't often see the issues come up for sale either. My wife's issue easily sold at this years Cleggy for a ton. Grat record and one not heard played out on a regular enough basis IMO..

PS: Richard - still not had any joy with that Ric-Tic alternate label design 45 we've been discussing..

As a hopefully interesting aside I once smacked a member of the Sunliners. He attempted to "touch me up" in Bob Mays shopin Detroit back in 1979.

First brush I put down to an accident, second time I was suspicious and on the third I smacked him one and Bob Mays intervened, which was qiute amusing as he was blind drunk at the time and he ended up on the floor too.

I also bought about 30 copies of Sunliners off him for a couple of dollars each.

No worries Fingers - thanks for looking into it for me

On the Sunliners I have the white demo and the yellow issue.

Got the demo fairly recently from a Soul Sourcer - about a year ago - £175 I think it was and it's totally stone mint - plays through beautifully like the day it was pressed

In relation to Rod's story about smacking one of the Sunliners - anyone else punched a soul artist - and if so why and what happened?:lol:

Cheers

Tony coleby, had a 10" acetate of this, which i bought of him when he sold his massive detroit collection, had a yellow golden world blank label on it with typed title and artist. As ive said it came to me for £8 and i sold it on in the 80`s for £10, bought by a lad in york who wasn`t really a collector. I spoke to his mother the other year asking her where he was, he`s now living in dorset or devon. He took his records with him she says, would love to know if he still has it.

i tried selling one for £120 in july/aug with absolutely no interest at all. so i gave it back to the mate i was selling for as he wouldnt drop it down. £100 might shift it. not as fashionable as it once was although its never been a biggie
