Legendary rarest of the rare ISSUE copy.

All the major UK record dealers and most collectors have never seen the issue copy of this record and was only rumoured to exist.

Mixed Emotions - Gold of my Life - Rock-way M- £300

Genuine rare original with all the correct markings fantastic sound quality

15 to 20% louder than my EMI copy and twice as loud as the 90s repress

Sammy Gaha - Thank You Thank You - French Barclay PS M- WOL £325

Only thought to exist on the Canadian Right On label this is one of only a hand full of copies to have been found on the French Barclay label.

The record comes with a fantastic PS of the Australian singer Sammy Gaha.

The record is in superb condition with just a small name neatly written on the label and release date on the back of the PS in black felt pen.

The moderators are uncomfortable about the fact that there is no scan of the record being made available by the seller. If it was a £10 record it wouldn't matter, but £400 is a lot of money.

Could the seller please put a scan up of the item.

To be fair Pete there are a lot of 45s on here at prices over £400 that don't have scans.

I know he's been asked for it but some of us aren't very good at the technical side of things. Took me ages to scan a couple and attach them to my posts.

he does have it. he only lives a mile or so from me and he brought it up to me to look at a few years ago. its the only one ive ever seen. some of the prices being bandied about might have put him off selling it tho. wouldnt have thought it would be a spare but with paul anythings possible

If people send us messages of concern we have to be seen to be doing something about it. And note I say US and not ME. Don't make it personal.

Why people have trouble attaching scans is weird, take a photo, click ATTACH FILE and it does it for you.

I dont scan any records ,i merely take a pictue with my mobile phone ,plug it into the comp and upload it .

Most people have a moby with a camera on these days ,or a digital camera that has a USB cable

Im sure it would'nt be that hard to master ,if it secured a sale .

i have a web cam on this computer im using so i take my pictures with that but when ive tried to upload onto soulsource it wouldnt do it. i make videos and upload them to youtube easy enough and when i do sales thats how i do it. im sure paul will come on and fight his corner. maybe he`s already sold it and cant be bothered to justify himself on here to the police lol

24 hours later we all await a scan Nige. I PM'd yesterday, soon as the ad went up.

I don't know who the seller is anyway, it says RANDY, how am I supposed to know who that is, it could be Simon Soussan for all I know, so I'm not calling whoever it is into question, I just want to see a picture of the record. Had I seen one yesterday I'd have bought it on the spot.

i think you`d still get the lemmings diving in even without a scan on ebay. it happens all the time. sometimes they end up with egg on their faces. sometimes they get a result

Paul "Randy" Seward does have this record in his mitts, i have seen it with my own peepers

Now as to wether this is his SPARE issue is another question !!!

I have seen 2 ISSUE copies of this record, did try to buy one but it did have an edge warp at the time, think it no longer has one now !! but this copy is very clean and nice looking

Paul has one of the best collections in the UK and yes he does work in IT so will know how to put a scan up but does spend a lot of time on the road and in meetings etc so may log on to here from his phone but can't put a scan up till he gets home and scans it in !!

This would be in my box now but don't really collect 60's anymore.

Ian you are contributing more of the crap waffle with your stirring. All that was asked was to see a scan, I for one haven't seen an issue before and was interested in seeing it. I had no intention of buying the record, simply wanted to see the scan.

Like Pete says when something so elusive is offered cheap, which it is IMO, with no scan from someone using a pseudonym what do you expect from people, you've done exactly the same in the past with ebay.

Glad it is sold but hopefully Paul (who is straight up and honest btw) will post a scan for the benefit of those who have never seen an issue.

I don't doubt Paul's credentials, enough reputable people have vouched for him. I think this was handled poorly, very poorly. Ian Seaman seems to be rejoicing that it's gone and no scan will be forthcoming. Scan or no scan, yeah Ebay would have been a better bet imo.

But you see the problem - as soon as this went up for sale, I had PM's asking if it existed, I could only reply that I'd never seen or heard of one and didn't know anyone else who had, I had no idea who the seller was, and even if the seller was Jesus Christ himself I'd still have wanted to see a scan of the record.

So at least three of the moderators were a little concerned about it, so I try and get it clarified and see what happens? We just can't win.

i dont know what all the fuss is about. when i had it in my hands all those years ago i never batted an eyelid. a rare yes but mediocre 45. im sure pauls only sold it coz it has no bearing on the direction he`s going in with his music. he would never play it and when he got it it was no where near the £400 mark

Dave mate, i personally dont like this 45 ,dont care much about labels ,preferring whats in the groove but i think the point that is missing here is called,

Paul is probably a real nice guy ,that is not in question here .

He put a list of sales on a public forum and never locked the thread ,

so naturally for those amongst us who genuinely wanted to see a picture of it ,either for personal gratification or heaven forbid to buy it

A polite reply was all he needed to do ....along the lines of "sorry i cant do scans"

Instead of going all quiet and thus dragging people who know him to defend him and provide character references.

And before anyone say's give him chance ,he's a busy man ...he was on here this afternoon posting elswhere if im not mistaken.

Personally i'd be a tad uneasy ,and feel guilty letting other people do my explaining, but hey we don't all come off the same tree.

OK i can't believe none of you have seen one (scan that is), wasn't there one in a mag a while back ?? despite all the asking on here !! hasn't someone already said which mag it was in ?? and a mod posting up Pauls recent activity !!! WTF !!

Paul works away and the record sold within minutes of going live with an agreement that no scan would be put up till the deal was done (well in the hands of the buyer and he was happy) as is his right and last time i checked none of yours !!!

The price Paul asked for was a fair price in his eyes compared to the price he paid for it, does he really need to sell it at twice that to prove some sort of point, he knew how rare it was as he had the only 2 copies i have ever seen
