Gasher Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 MONTHLY MOAN.................Ok courtesy costs nothing but this week I sold over 20 records to people on here. Now in my younger day and even now I always found it polite to let the person know the record had arrived safely and I was happy or NOT in some cases with the transaction. Out of all my sales only Cookie( BITCHDJ ) has had the courtesy to let me know he got it and is happy. And a very nice offer from PhilB to buy them back at the same price when I get on my feet...BIG UPTO PHILB.. TOP MAN. Am I being paranoid that no one says thanks anymore for your time and effort in sending stuff in good condition and packed correctly and in a timely manner???????? .....grumpy old fart..possibly premenstrual... BUT ITS NICE TO BE NICE gasher
Dave Morris Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I always contact the seller to let them know record has arrived and leave a comment when possible. As you say its just being polite and unfortunately that seems to have gone out of society in general. Case in point, bought a record and when it arrived was cracked right across.Emailed seller who said keep the records and sent my money back. Record plays great and that to me is service. Didn't buy record on here by the way.

Guest Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) maybe, just maybe, the buyer hasn't had the time to come on SS and pen you a message of thanks some people have jobs you know only joshing Gash, the world is full of people that have forgotten how to say thanks. ps. I'll reply to your PM over the weekend, when I have some time xxx Edited November 5, 2010 by Guest
manus Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Good point -I don't normally PM to say something has arrived - mainly because I don't want to waste peoples time but I take your point on politeness and will do in the future. Cheers Manus

Cheers Manus I don't bother them with a PM Manus, but I do post a comment on their profile. That way it lets them know I've got the vinyl and also acts as feedback that others can see.
