pikeys dog Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 The one pictured above is a recent-ish boot. Theres also a 70s boot that is too close to the original
Koolkat Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks everyone. Gonna leave the one Ive seen in a collection listed alone now.
Mrtag Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 the original boot is a good one and hard to tell apart if ya don't know what to look for!!
Mrtag Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Hi, I messaged this seller & asked them for some info on the Yum Yums matrix number, they never replied so can only asume it's the boot & didn't wanna say so. For reference I'm sure the genuine item has the matrix number ABC 12bb1, the sixes should have straight tails & look like a lower case b, the boot has conventional sixes with curved tails ABC 12661, also the 70's boot will have some tiny indents/bubbles in the deadwax & have poor print definition, I think there is demo label variations between west coast styrene copies & genuine vinyl pressed white demos, maybe someone could expand on this?? Scan of 70's boot attatched Atb, Paul Hi Paul, You're Right On The Money With This !! Also The 2 Is Slightly Smaller Than The 6 On The Original!! Atb John. Edited October 30, 2010 by mrtag
Pete Eccles Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 The 2 also has a 'looped' tail on the boot, as with the 6's
