Philt
Talk about hacked-off! Been watching 'make a change' on ebay since it first appeared and was pretty keen on the idea of owning it. Had an early bid to test the water with the intention of putting a more realistic one in nearer the end. Waited til near the death and thought I'll try this 'one click bid' button; guess what, it didn't work Not saying I'd have won it but it would have gone for more than it eventually sold for that is for sure. I won't be using it again as it seems to me to be all but useless, unless I'm missing something? Guess I need to get one of them there snipe things but why have it if it doesn't work properly? Prophonics 2029
They work fine, Auction Stealer pay nothing and get 3 free bids a week. but the rush of bidding at the last minute so quiet good. Link to comment Social source share

Out of interest, what did it go for? - Do records like this hold their price in times of bad ressesion?Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure about 3 - 4 years ago, one went on John Manship's auction for £2,700.00, then about a year later one went for £1,850.00. All depends who's bidding I know, but that's a massive difference. I'd guess a lot less than £2,000.00 in these times. All the best, Len. I used to use a sniper but some sellers put a block on them and if you are bidding in the final seconds you don't know until the auction is over and you find out your bid has been blocked. Tabs
As far as I know all sniping software needs your pw to place the bid on your behalf. I don't think its possible to block a bid from a snipe either. I know some sellers can restrict bids. I've used EZSNIPER for a few yrs now and can categorically say ,they havent done anything untoward with my account. Never had a bid blocked for using a sniper either I upset this guy once by giving him bad feedback so he blocked me , would'nt be buying off him again so who gives a f:lol: k Link to comment Social source share
Chalky
pretty sure you could at one time get some software to block snipes although why anyone would want to block one and deprive themselves of extra money is beyond me. Might be better off in PC, software section as it is basically a technical topic??? Link to comment Social source share
