Pat Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Recently got hold of a stock copy of (I love her so much) It hurts me by David & Ruben. It's on Warner Bros. Ref No.7316 with the stamped matrix of M-17267-1C. Everything looks fine with it but when I played it I found that it doesn't have the horn intro I was expecting....Is this the norn or have I bought somekind of dud??
Anoraks Corner Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 It is legit...that is how all the Warners copies are...obviously they thought the horn intro was unnecessary (the fools!).

Sebastian Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) It is legit...that is how all the Warners copies are...obviously they thought the horn intro was unnecessary (the fools!). Probably because the intro sounded out-of-date when Warner reissued that 45 in 1969. Edited October 28, 2010 by Sebastian
Markw Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 rampart copies have the full horn intro Thanks for clarifying.
Prophonics 2029 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 The Rampart issue or demo is the same stampers as the Linda copy, matrix, delta Etc.
Sebastian Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) The Rampart issue or demo is the same stampers as the Linda copy, matrix, delta Etc. But it was pressed 3 years after the Linda 45 and was released to promote a "greatest hits" LP released in 1969 on Rampart called "Golden Treasures Volume Two: West Coast East Side Revue" which consisted of tunes from the Linda/Faro/Whittier/Gordo/Rampart stable of labels.
