Guest Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Ive been in the Northern Soul thing for more years than I care to remember over many years people collect different things some people collect records some Cd's some memberships, the list is endless Well i thought i would collect something different .For nearly 30 years Ive been asking DJ for the fluff off the stylus some are very helpful others look at me like am a bit strange .So for this 30 year period Ive collected fluff from all the main events in the country including wigan, weekenders, small clubs that no longer exists some clubs that are still going the 100 club for example, its also listed from the DJ it came from and dated so it my be a night you attended they are all individually wrapped and labeled. So what I'm asking is what sort of value do you think this fantastic collection will have say[ on eBay] lets take wigan fluff for example wigan fluff what value please? PS do you think i should sell as a whole collection? or individually? or has any body else got a smiler collection?
Richard Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 PS do you think i should sell as a whole collection? or individually? or has any body else got a smiler collection? link Think with this we'll all end up with a smiler collection, here's some to keep you going
Guest rachel Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 There's no value in stylus fluff, it's too easily faked. DJs' belly button fluff is where the money is... particularly prized is the 1979 sample from the day Russ Winstanley wore an orange T shirt.

Richard Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 (edited) I thought the bottom had dropped out of the needle fluff collecting scene, surely the way forward is belly button fluff, ear wax or toe jam from the dj's Edited August 13, 2005 by richard
Guest OSCARP Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I've heard if you take a strand of the fluff [say from the stylus from Wigan] and implant it in someone's rear in 9 months out pops Wigan's Ovation.
