Pete S Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Just scanning through my Jamaican 45s and found a track by the 3 Tops. anyone have any info on them? ta, muchly. Don't know the personnel but they were recording from approx 1966 into the early 70's, firstly as Dion Cameron & The Three Tops, then just as Three Tops for Treasure isle, Coxsone etc. The also recorded as The Soul Tops and did a version of Chuck Jackson's Good Things Come To Those Who Wait. The latest record I remember seeing by them was Three Tops Medley issued in 1972.
pikeys dog Posted October 10, 2010 Author Posted October 10, 2010 Cheers Pete, Exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. Anyone got any recommendations fro me to look out for?

Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Just scanning through my Jamaican 45s and found a track by the 3 Tops. It's a shame that more Jamaican groups didn't take the names of their American counterparts and decrease or add to the membership by one,,, Just think, they could have had: The Sweet 2 Soul Brothers 5 The 3 Seasons The 5 Perfections The 4 Degrees Sam & Dave & Kitty Pic & Sam & Bill The 8 Souls The 5 Vandals Frankie Beverly & the Butler The 6 Du-Tones The Girls 2 - Jess, Dot and nobody else... ...Now, where DID I put that blessed coat...
