Al Green "I'm Still In Love With You" LP on Motown(US)

I argued and argued with my pal, and then he showed me BUT can anyone

clarify if a rarity/mispressing or genuine PLEASE?

Maybe Chalky Tony Rounce or Sean Hampsey can shed some light.

Here's details:-

Label Motown (US)

Cat No: 5284 MLA

Album cover states Distributed by Motown under license from Hi Records

Run Out groove has -A-15A then 2 scratched initials M or H W

Any info appreciated - thanks

there are even Al Green 45s on the Motown Yesteryear label.

...one of which is Al's version of 'Take Me To The River' - the only time it has ever been issued on 45 as far as I know and thus well worth picking up as acheapie (which is all it ever is...)

Motown didn't go mad with Hi, so don't go looking for Motown Yesteryear releases on the likes of Quiet Elegance and Teacher's Edition, for example. But they did quite a few Al 45s and some Ann Peebles and Bill Black's Combo singles too.

During this same period, or slightly later, Motown also started licensing in all sorts of wierd things for CD release, including the likes of Jimmy Reed and Duane Eddy...

Yeah I saw the Motown logo and the "licensing" bit so in my heart of hearts I think I knew the answer.

Anyhow its better to find out here rather than look it up alone - cheers
