Pics Of 45 Boxes?

I'm sick of the old cardboard flip top boxes and looking to hand make something a little classier. Any inspiration out there?

Ikea do these in black or white, they hold around a hundred 45s and you can stack 'em on top of each other. Made of wood.

That is the Trissa box from Ikea?

They don't carry the Trissa box anymore. There may be a few Ikea stores out there that still have them, but as far as I know, they have stopped making them and won't be selling in them future. Really sad because the price was good, and they were perfect for 45's.

I am also looking for inspiration, and I don't want the cardboard boxes either.

At the moment, I use the wooden box that they sell at www.protected.de but they are slightly more expensive than the Trissa box from Ikea, and they can't be stacked.

They sell wooden boxes in Homebase / Focus with lids that hold two rows of 45's perfectly - approx 400 45's per box - good for stacking - think they were about 10 pounds last time I bought a couple.

my main box is made of 2mm aluminium, soild as a rock but a quarter of the weight of wood, get down your local fabication factory and get one made to measure, then line with plastic coated coloured card

you should check out my boxes if your looking for something totally bespoke. KustomKase

these are made from strong marine ply. and then hand painted before using high quality steel corners, handle and locks. Foam lined 9I can even put in led lighting into the lid if you wish.

I have the latest one to take a pic of and go up.

I can do plain wooden boxes all the corners etc for £40

i usually give a costing for bespoke kustom painted boxes depending on what you want but they usually go for about £65 - £70 I know this is not cheap but these are strong secure and totally unique!!

there was a guy on the funk45 forum who custom-made boxes at very good rates - can't remember his name but still have the pics he sent me.

he'd make whatever you wanted - the pics below feature velvet lining and a seperate compartment for carts. 'phones etc.
