Guest Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I'm sick of the old cardboard flip top boxes and looking to hand make something a little classier. Any inspiration out there?
Guest Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Really? All I get is pics of DJ flight cases. Or cardboard boxes.
Soul-slider Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Ikea do these in black or white, they hold around a hundred 45s and you can stack 'em on top of each other. Made of wood.
Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 That is the Trissa box from Ikea? They don't carry the Trissa box anymore. There may be a few Ikea stores out there that still have them, but as far as I know, they have stopped making them and won't be selling in them future. Really sad because the price was good, and they were perfect for 45's. I am also looking for inspiration, and I don't want the cardboard boxes either. At the moment, I use the wooden box that they sell at www.protected.de but they are slightly more expensive than the Trissa box from Ikea, and they can't be stacked.
Douglaschip Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 They sell wooden boxes in Homebase / Focus with lids that hold two rows of 45's perfectly - approx 400 45's per box - good for stacking - think they were about 10 pounds last time I bought a couple. Adam

Col Wolfe Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 get ahead of the 2011 craze - everybody will be strutting around with totes - Gok said, so it must be true if not a tote, go for a slimline ladybox* not Gok approved there was a guy on the funk45 forum who custom-made boxes at very good rates - can't remember his name but still have the pics he sent me. he'd make whatever you wanted - the pics below feature velvet lining and a seperate compartment for carts.
