THERE IS NO REAL REASON THAT THE VAVA DID NOT WORK AS SOME GREAT RECORDS WERE PLAYED AND THE BEST FROM THE TORCH & BLACKPOOL MECCA GOT EVEN BIGGER? I HAD A ORIGINAL BADGE, BUT IT FADED AWAY WHEN WASHED, WOULD LOVE A PROPER ONE BACK,

ALSO IF I REMEMBER RIGHT IT WAS PRETTY LITE WHEN YOU CON PAIR IT TO THE TORCH & THE CASINO.

i AGREE IT WAS GOOD, HOWEVER A CHIP SHOP NEAR BYE SOLD ME A MEAT PIE CHIPS PARCHED PEAS & GRAVY, HOWEVER THE PIE HAD NO FILLING IN IT? SO I THREW IT UP THE WALL! NEVER BEEN BACK TO BOLTON SINCE:ph34r: DAVE

who the eck would prefer getting engaged or married than going to va vas or any nighter in them days sodding eck I was only 20 back then and preferred having a life by going to as many places as I could than having some lad buying a ring !!

Torch Wheel UP The Junction Catacoombs Samanthas ALL BETTER THAN WIGAN Ever was!!!! Shame any of these places closed Wigan was opened and at the time the place to go!!!! I went on the first night and for many years till it closed but leave it where it is IN THE PAST!!!

I know its for the past and have loved being part of "THE PAST" myself !!! Im getting older not younger tho!!! I celebrate many things but not every year of WIGAN CASINO!!! The Wheel or Torch now ur celebrating!!!

shame ya didnt get to the other clubs I mentioned ya wud of course have still been into NORTHERN SOUTHERN WESTERN OR SODDING EASTERN SOUL it was "right time " "right place" in 1973 cos no other place was opening as a new allnighter venue as I recall!!!

Samanthas was FRIDAY NIGHT so we need a place for saturday nights so what choice was there??? (would like names of clubs if there was) Va vas closed cos some muppet sed it had too Junction and Torch closed so wats next???

some poor chap tried HEAVEN AND HELL in Birmingham and those who went and tried it will know wat I mean?? trap door into a cellar!!! 20 at most!!

Nowt wrong with remembering the old place or reminicing about old freinds .

The Casino had a huge impact and still does at present there are ten threads running about the Casino in AOY that says something about its impact on the scene .

Its worth celebrating allong with the Torch, Cats , VaVa,s , Samanthas etc infact anywhere that dared to be different from the mainstream dross we were being fed .
