Spook Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Hi Nige, Green & White demo seems to have gone through Pat B auction for £90 (april 2010), however UK issue : Issue 50p on Ebay . Spook
John Benson Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I think he's referring to TMG 720 which was demos only, then not released until TMG 748. I only know of it being promos on the TMG 720 'release' - I don't think it ever got any stock copies pressed at all?
Mick Holdsworth Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 It's TMG 720 that was withdrawn - only ever seen demos of that. THG 748 was released and both demos and issues are around Cheers Mick

Thanks for all replys!! Nige It is Interesting that they had the First Release TMG-720 Withdrawn Only to Release TMG-748 later with exactly the same B Side etc. Wonder why it was withdrawn in the first place. PopSike.com PopSike.com PopSike.com PopSike.com No problems regarding the U.S.A. Release as far as I'm aware, even though a couple of Promotion Items exist. A & B Side = Black Vinyl DEMO, Double A Side = Red Vinyl DEMO

Dave Moore Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Just a wild guess but maybe it was tied up with the release of Shades of Blue version? I'd have to go check the release dates etc of each but can't be arsed wading through it. The song was released on ,US (Impact)/UK (Sue) but I would have thought it was quite a bit earlier than the 720 TMG scheduled release? Best, Dave
Sean Hampsey Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 IIRC TMG 748 has 720 crossed through in the runout... That's true Jerry. Always frustrated me that my copy had the 'wrong' label on it . It was apparantly withdrawn to make room for the release of Edwin's 'TIME' which came out on TMG 725 in January 1970. Sean

Best, Dave Correct Dave, The UK 'Shades Of Blue' Sue release came out in 1966 (four years earlier). Sean
Sean Hampsey Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Always LOVED the 'Shades of Blue' version of this song above all others. It's soulful Bliss to my ears! Sean

Sean Makes sense looking at the two demo dates Sean, and Dave, the Shades of blue version was a 1966 US hit, from memory the UK release was early 1967 (??) Edited September 22, 2010 by Jerry Hipkiss

It says 1966 on the UK Sue label, Jerry, but I know that often doesn't necessarily equate to UK release date. Sean
