Guest Dante Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Arguably the greatest genius in the history of black music, and certainly one of my favorite artists of all time. Here's one of my favorite Mayfield's tracks, from his solo debut: curtis mayfield - miss black america - Edited September 19, 2010 by Dante
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Arguably the greatest genius in the history of black music, and certainly one of my favorite artists of all time. Here's one of my favorite Mayfield's tracks, from his solo debut: curtis mayfield - miss black america - One of my favourites, too - although with the other two Impressions as backing vocalists it's not really a CM solo record, despite being on his 'Curtis' album... Ady Pountain Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Current 'Just Soul' Monster... should be massive everywhere! Sean Great choice Sean! The whole Superfly LP is a masterpiece but I've always loved this track as it has one of those lines "It's a terrible thing inside, when your natural high has died". Another must have LP is The Impressions Young Mod's Forgotten Story. They are among the relatively few LP's I can play through start to finish, Ady
KevH Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Forlorn angst from the master. impressions - you'll want me back -
