Just been on Mr Manships auction site, He has a copy of Jimmy James - Hey Girl - UK Pye is the Issue rarer than the demo?Also in his description of the record he states it is the flipside, when my demo has the A on the Hey Girl side. Dont think it was issued twice?

yeah, same here Big A on "Hey Girl" side. surprised to see this as an auction item??? £25 to £50 bracket surely??

Usual story though Steve. How often do you see 'em now and that's how John works. If he doesn't have a record through his hands on a regular basis he'll auction it. Also it may have been requested as an auction item by the seller! Who knows

issue is £40/50. demo £50/60 but im sure john will get more in auction after all its a uk demo and they are always very desireable

...and it finished at 225 poonds! My issue (which I don't think I'd played since 1975) has it as the A-side...pity about the sticker damage though...

If it's that rare why is it on his greatest hits album as mentioned above by Toad?

Mentioned this on another Jimmy James thread I started a while back & if Hey Girl is worth £225 what's Missing you worth then.

Far better record IMO & a hell of a lot rarer for sure.

Still got a spare so might have to see if JM wants to auction it for me unless I get on offer beforehand Wpaulvandyk
