Sebastian Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Pete i thought the Paramounts was pink Well mine is or am i going senile? Some of the DJ copies are indeed pink.
Pete S Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Thanks for pointing that out. I am indeed a tool.
Kjw Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Not surprised to see Nate Evans go quick - lots of copies of Nate Evans & Mean Green about but the first issue rarely comes up for sale and when it does it's usually in poor condition. I've always thought this is one of those records that's worth a lot more in terms of rarity. Big tune for Soul Sam at the Cleethorpes 70's all-nighters and still sounds as good today.
Pete S Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 Big tune for Soul Sam at the Cleethorpes 70's all-nighters and still sounds as good today. I remember it from Wigan, didn't last long before it was 'pressed'. Those pressings were the remaining stock of the Mean Green version via Soul Bowl and they turned out not to be pressings at all. £1.25 from Pep's shop around November 76.

The Look on Your face ain't a bad version either, are all the mean green pressings a bit 'fuzzy'

KevH Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 The Look on Your face ain't a bad version either, are all the mean green pressings a bit 'fuzzy' Mine was.Cranking up the volume don't help.Lo-fi.
