Karen x Now this poses several interesting questions . Firstly , how many copies of the CC " 3B48 " were allocated for the giveaway . Secondly , exactly what was that " first few through the door " number . Thirdly , and more to the point , how many were copies were actually given away in exchange for the voucher . Guest SteveJohnston Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) WOULD LOVE SOME OF THE OLD POSTERS ,,,,THE CASINO FLYERS,,ETC,,, Mark I know someone that has a few of the old posters that were put up outside the casino Andy Hadfield a mate of mine, he was from Hindley Green near Wigan I think he now lives in France I know because I give them to him in 82 before I moved to Leicestershire along with a box of records I swapped for his complete Jam collection every single & LP including some overseas issues. The last time I visited him in Hindley around five years ago ish he still had them, funny enough I found a photo of my bedroom wall with the casino posters on surrounded by record label bags and allnighter anniversary ticket stubs and a few LP covers also a poster of the three soul disco albums "dance dance dance" was one and two others I cant remember the name of that came out in the mid 70's I can't even remember the label name at the moment But I'm sure I still have this poster rolled up in a tube some were! I'll post up the photo later & poster if I can find it. Steve J Edited September 15, 2010 by SteveJohnston

Guest turntableterra Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 ]a few more pics, taken recently, i must have missed the poster stage. heres a coke bottle, bag and shirt. i knicked the headrest cover off a "NORTHERN " bus sadly still have it too
Guest Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Errrr no.................it was a shithole. WC had its' moments - and there were many of them , and I will even go so far as stating that they bordered on being exceptional - but sadly as you state Steve , it was a shithole ....... but before the " thoushaltnotbesmearchthenameoftheholyshrine " brigade write in to complain , but so were several of the iconic venues . Most people will agree that it was , but will not voice it publicly for fear of a type written stoning . Malc Edited September 16, 2010 by Malc Burton

Like on the very last nighter right at the end with the DJ's standing on the stage & Russ had stopped playing the last record over & over every one left in there clapping like mad! I was standing about half way down the dance floor to the right of the stage after picking up my Hitachi tape recorder of the top of the speakers on the stage I took the tape out turned it over held the player up over my head and pressed the play button and "long after the night is all over" started about half way though! Every one around us including all the Hindley lads started dancing Russ pointed at us lot and told Dave E he's get them dancing!.................. Steve J Edited September 16, 2010 by SteveJohnston
Guest Robbo Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) I don't have any dancefloor....but I do have my badges still + a couple of flyers and an application form from Blues and Soul for the first night I never made the first night as I was still at school at the time but I made the first anniversary and the last night (s) wouldn't change a thing amazing times I for one would buy the book Sue Edited September 16, 2010 by Robbo
