pikeys dog Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Ropey printing on a rough paper label... but it's ZTSC stamped in the run-out... Thoughts please chaps?
Mrtag Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Hi, It was pressed up on the pink label usually find these are vinyl as opposed to the multi colour label which are styrene!!
boba Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I don't see how it could be fake given that the ZTSC number matches definitely original copies and that's exactly what's stamped in the deadwax. Seems like a hard thing to fake.

boba Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 A valid point - but I have always believed this pink label copy to be a pressing?. ATB Greg. In the US I have seen lots of pink copies, I definitely don't think all pink copies are boots. Maybe the ink was running low at the printers on this copy? The paper looks different than other pink copies I've seen too though but maybe it's the scan.
Windlesoul Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Something about it, either the ink, type setting or pinky-orange shade reminds me a lot of the Rose Batiste and JJ Barnes Ric Tic boots (these were vinyl though)? May be barking completely up the wrong tree though.
pikeys dog Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 More info..... The paper is rough to the touch. The ZTSC stamp is staggered. It's Vinyl not Styrene. I've had it a few years so I'm not sure whether it came from the U.S. or not.
Premium Stuff Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) Manships Bootleg Guide has this as a counterfeit despite the stamped matrix (which is a fake apparently) Plus some copies also have those DJ Stickers stuck on to convince Cheers Richard Edited September 6, 2010 by Premium Stuff
Prophonics 2029 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Would b nice on vinyl or even the silver Revilot, but the matrix is in the wrong place in the groove as well, top tune for the money but the DJ copy fetches a bit more than the usual tenner £

Prophonics 2029 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Forty is a great price but for the money its a great record that I never tire of like other stuff for 10 or 40.
Weingarden Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) In the US I have seen lots of pink copies, Seriously? I've never seen a single one of these in 24 years of looking at 45s in Detroit. Edited September 8, 2010 by weingarden
