DON'T MAKE ME BEG - THE SOUL NOTES - WAY OUT ( Highly Recommended)

HEY BABE(IS THE GETTING STILL GOOD) - THE JONES - MERCURY (Cheap as chips)

IF I EVER NEEDED YOU - LITTLE DOOLEY - KO KO.

BABY RECONSIDER - LEON HAYWOOD - FAT FISH

HEY GIRL - THE FESTIVALS - BLUE ROCK

The Joneses track is brill, IMHO AND..I remember Godin raving in B&S that Baby Reconsider had changed handsat Wheel for a £5......BIG money in 1969!!!!!! (I were on about £4/10/6d a week, BEFORE tax!!!).

No disrespect but £4.50p to those who were born after old pounds, shillings and pence were replaced by poxy decimal coinage.

 This bloody site! I only came on to see if I could find what the difference was with the two Brenda Holloway - When I'm Gone mixes....3 hours later i'm still here!!

May as well make a day of it I guess....& going to participate in this thread as I had a reet 'chuffer' this week  You know...where you are looking forward to it anyway... but when it comes it's even better!

The items were two LP's that I had managed to find at a real good price 'Bobby Patterson - It's Just A Matter Of Time' & 'The Spirit Of Atlanta - The Burning Of Atlanta'.

Anyway...they arrive...both are originals in nigh on M- condition (vinyl wise)...but when I get 'The Spirit Of Atlanta' LP out of it's sleeve...it's only a beautiful promo!!! The seller never mentioned this so it was a real nice surprise. Heaven!

I know what is going to happen now....someone will tell me they were all promos

thanks to everyone for posting their stuff - its been a great read - and it shows that the soul scene is not just one dimensional,

not just a buy what is popular for top money scene !

Fantastic additions all the time to everyone's collections !

Totally interesting seeing what everyone has been getting !!!

Myself..............................

I've just been lucky with rocksteady , ska and Latin this last few weeks.

Ive been outbid this week by a quid or two on Johnny Summers Cant let go£125, Kell Osbourne Quicksand £120, and Tommy Navarro Cried my life away £70 - they all went CHEAP

Annoying when you get outbid for a couple of dollars and they are favourite oldies

There are lots of miss-pressed copies of that one that play a ballad rather than the upbeat R'n'B mover.
