Cheapsiderecords Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I actually sold at my first record show last Sunday and whilst I did OK I thought it was not really worth all the effort of sorting, boxing, loading, setting up etc etc. I had 11 boxes of pop/rock 45's and 4 boxes of albums. Having said all that, after setting up I was skimming the room and the guy setting up next to me had a box of maybe 300 45's. I went through and picked out a Basic, Black and Pearl 70's - Makin Of Love 45 and that was it. He then said those magic words - "I have a little bag of better things here" and I walked away with - The Yum Yums - Gonna Be A Big Thing - ABC promo Curtis Lee - Is She In Your Town - Mira promo Apparently he picked up a small collection of promo 45's and these were amongst them!! I am waiting for a phone call to find out what else he has. he took a handful of Rock albums and $100C cash. There are Northern/Rare Soul 45's that you sort of think you will never own and the Yum Yum's would be one of them and to have it just drop in your lap like this is just unbelievable. Made my day and probably my month, even year - I even took the missus out for a pint.

Dealings with Domar. Heard this & that but have to say when I've spoken to him he's always been very friendly & talkative. i did always make sure I phoned at the right time on the right day of the week though However he once sold me a boot as an original & although apologetic & claimed ignorance, when i asked for my money back he gave me two options: 1. I can have the credit against future purchases 2. He'll send me a cash refund but will never ever sell me another record Edited December 23, 2010 by SHSDave
