I haven't been buying for a few months so it was good to get started again with this mixed bunch:

Dickie Wonder....Nobody Knows...Sounds Of Soul

Soul Notes....How Long Will It Last....Way Out

DeVolia LaSane....Don't Take My Love Away/Flyin' High....Path

Chosen Few....Birth Of A Playboy....Maple

Soul Survivors....Mama Soul....(German) Atlantic

 And despite removing all traces of posties visit, how did my missus know I'd had vinyl delivered?

ohmy.gif 6 hours later she could SMELL my vinyl cleaning spray. Just one quick squirt too - she's like a friggin bloodhound!

Now there's a gutsy Northern floorshaker...love it.By coincidence I found a copy of Luther Ingram's original version on Hurdy Gurdy last weekend (pictured above)...anyone know the going rate? You have to wade through half a dozen pages of his HIB 45 before one pops up on Popsike from a few years ago!

Tell me about it...will be listing them all for sale at some point this week

I Would love another copy of Carl Underwood.

I sold my vg plus copy to Mick Smith in 1996 for 20 quid .

With hindsight I sold this to him a bit cheap.

but anyway...................................

I have been picking up bits of Reggae / Ska / Latin this week as it Christmas

so no expensive rare soul 45s due to all the other December things !

But really enjoying collecting as always - and the lickle reggae bits make me just as happy as the big soul things !

Pioneers - trouble deh a bush - beverleys original blank (god this is nice)

Ralph Robles - was here - fania (gold original)

Sound Dimensions - time is tight - coxsone original

Heptones - why did you leave - coxsone original (classic)

Soul for Sale - Let me love you - Geronimo

Sublime male group vocal cut on a sexy looking private press label

Kittie Doswell - Just a face in the crowd - Hes

The super classy crossover classic

The Deceptions - Of all the hearts to break - Brooks

Stoner 70's beat ballad, a loose cover of the Black and Blue cut

Fantastic Mainstream - Let's be friends - Las Vegas (cheers Nev)

Really nice 70's social conscience

Sweet Mixture - House of fun and love - Bazar

Fantastic dancefloor jazz soul cut

Debonettes - Choose Me - Merry

Yep I bought it for the ballad but not the one off the bay that went for silly money

Vikki Styles - The tears won't stop falling - Odex

Messy Lo Fi 60's crossover that sounds a lot like Open the door to your heart

Not actually in my hot little hands yet....

Ouch! :)

Must admit this is the first spare copy I've had in 25 years of owning a copy!

It only cost me 12 quid so I actually made a 8 quid profit on it biggrin.gif

It was still covered up as Herbert hunter at the time

I sold Mick a box of about 100 records - I needed cash really fast.

He done well out of me that evening but I still have testicles - It was one of those weeks laugh.gif

I'm still loving this thread.

Really interesting in seeing what everyone is buying.

And not just the biggies !!!!
