There are at least three different label variations of this record. Do any of you guys know which came first, and if there is any difference in value?

I thought mine was a demo but doesn't say it anywhere on the label. Just different pressing plants i would of thought and don't think there would be a difference in price.

Yes, that looks like a styrene copy while the three scans I posted look like vinyl copies.

Nobody's answered your question about which came first - it was the orange one, which is the local Miami pressing.

The second of your three was pressed in Memphis at Plastic Products (as was Bri's demo), Alan T's styrene is West Coast (Monarch) and I'm still trying to work out where your third variation originates from.

Must have been shaping up to be something of a hit for Stax to a) ake over the distribution and b) press it in so many plants around the country!

I really like this record. The flip is also good IMO. And it's hard to believe that it's only listed at £30 in Manship's price guide. I don't see it often.

The clue is in the word "guide":yes:

You might find one at £30 if your sharp but set sale is usually £70 upwards

Craig Moerer probably has a few tucked away ,he does'nt show em at set sale but regularly lists em on ebay auction .
