There was another version out on a demo in 83 by a disco / funk girl group called Le Fleur,Least that's what I think they were called,Just tried Youtubing it but can't find it

Thelma Houston was the best version in my opinion.

Mr Melvin and co did a pretty good job too.

Detroit And Philly you don't get much better than that.

...and also played at the same time by 70's club DJ Ray Teret at the Place in Hanley. Ray was quite adept at stringing together a half decent set considering the disco environment that prevailed. Mr Melvin's does it for me though

harold melvin DLMTW was a 12 month old lp only track when thelma decided to cut it. HM orig was never a 45 in the states. only when thelmas version was no 1 in the states did philly decide to put the 45 out in europe. HM a classic......... thelmas version is average.................. jimmy summerville version is rubbish IMO
