Never seen them.

The Charly 'Rare Soul Uncovered' series were on cassettes.

have seen the pye dd about at boot fairs

i got some bbc tape only ones from 80s ?

one of em featuring unissued stuff by the tymes

never paid it much attention

I picked up one of the charly northern comp tapes in a saudi arabia street stall in 90 or 91

very odd... as it was one of a double tape comp and obvisouly bootlegged

at the time thought was a odd choice to bootleg espically to do just one of two

Soul Shots vol 2

Soul Shots vol 3

Soul Shots vol 4

Soul Shots vol 5

oops minor error - now amended.

Doesn't look like the RCA / Grapevine Northern comps were issued on MC

I have a Motown tape of Isley Brothers super hits. I think Motown would have had a lot on tape too like the chartbusters.

I have one of the very first Goldmine CD Northern compilations on tape. Forgot which one but I do remember that the tracklisting didn't match the actual tracks on the tape, just like on the CD. does anyone know which one I mean?

Was it the one with the pale green cover, it was the first thing they put out on cd and the quality was really bad.

No it's "This is Northern Soul", b/w cover. Stuff like Arin Demain, Empires, Silhouettes, etc.
